Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Your information supports the work you do in OperLete. This policy explains what we handle, why, and how to reach us about it.
Who this policy covers
This policy explains how OperLete handles information when you visit our website, contact us, create an account or use our FMCG operations platform in India. It also covers information your organisation enters about its staff, customers, retailers, suppliers and other business contacts.
Your organisation decides what business records and team information to enter and who may access them. If your information was added by an organisation using OperLete, please contact that organisation first about its use of your data. We handle that information to provide the service to it, subject to applicable law.
Information we collect
Account and contact details may include your name, work email, mobile number, organisation name, role and your messages to our team. Authentication information includes sign-in and verification events; passwords are handled by the authentication service rather than kept as plain-text business records.
Workspace information may include product and warehouse records, orders, invoices, receipts, payments, attendance, leave, beat plans, visits, sales targets, audit history and the names and contact details of people your organisation enters. We also receive device and technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as browser information and service logs.
For field staff, location data may be recorded during an active workday while the Rep App is open and location access is allowed, as well as at a visit check-in or attendance event. Managers with appropriate access can view live location and route history. Location sharing for the workday stops when the day ends or the app is closed; a saved check-in or previous route record may remain in the workspace.
Why we use it
We use information to create and protect accounts, operate your organisation’s workspace, show the records and reports requested by authorised users, support sales and field workflows, respond to enquiries, send account and relevant workflow emails, troubleshoot issues, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand and improve the service without identifying an individual.
Operational emails may be controlled by each user in Settings where available. Essential account and security messages still need to be sent. We do not sell personal information or use your business records for third-party advertising.
Who can see or receive it
People in your organisation see information according to their assigned role and permissions. An organisation’s owners and authorised administrators manage member access. Business records are separated by organisation in the platform.
We use service providers to host the platform, deliver emails and operate necessary infrastructure. A map may use OpenStreetMap data and related map or geocoding services when a map or address lookup is opened. We may disclose information where legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Storage, security and retention
We use access controls and other technical and organisational measures designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Access to your workspace also depends on your organisation managing invitations, permissions and account credentials responsibly.
We keep information while needed to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes and comply with applicable legal obligations. Some information may remain in backups or audit records for a limited period after deletion. We do not promise a single retention period for every type of record; contact us for details relevant to your request.
Service providers or infrastructure may process information outside India. Where applicable, we take steps required by Indian law for such processing and transfers.
Your choices and requests
You can review or update some account details in the app, manage available email preferences and withdraw device location permission using your device settings. Turning off location may limit field visits, live tracking and related features. Your organisation’s administrator controls the business records and team access it manages.
Subject to applicable Indian law, you may ask for access to or correction, updating or erasure of your personal information, raise a grievance, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Some requests may need to go through your organisation, and some records may need to be retained under law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children, changes and contact
OperLete is a business service and is not intended for children. We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change; the date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels when required.
For privacy requests or grievances, email connect@operlete.com. Please include the email associated with your account and the organisation name, but do not send passwords or sensitive business records in your initial message.
